If Viet Noodle was in New York, it would be packed all the time. Maybe because it's a little out of the way in Atwater Village, but every time I've ever been it's pretty quiet. I had a perfect lunch there yesterday. I started with the Jicama rolls and then had the Tumeric fish noodles.
The Vietnamese name is Cha Ca Thanh Long, there are a lot of recipes on the internet for it. Last year, I tried making it at home and it turned out very well. Andrea suggested deep-frying shallots as a topping, that was great advice.
