SALTIE

Here's a great outing for someone who lives in Manhattan. Ride your bike over the Williamsburg Bridge to Saltie and eat a sandwich (you can also take the L to Bedford or Lorimer) It's 3.5 miles from the West Village, so it's easy and satisfying... like Saltie.

This is a good salad: kale, apples, hazelnuts and pecorino cheese.
The Scuttlebutt: Hard-boiled egg, capers, sliced beets, olives, dill, parsley, red pepper aioli.
The Little Chef: Mortadella, pecorino and green olive tapenade.
Most of the sandwiches come on focaccia (I think they make it there).
Last week I had the Clean Slate, which was served open face on Naan, with hummus and most of the stuff that's on the Scuttlebutt, so far that's my favorite, but I plan on trying everything on the menu over the next few weeks.

  1. I don't like M. I., he was mean to Dan. I do like the Sardine sandwich at Saltie, what is the name?
