VINEGAR HILL HOUSE

Tony and I celebrated Spain's victory over Germany with Silvia and a bunch of her Spanish friends at Marlow and Sons. We brought our own peppers. For dinner I met Ben, Sara, Lulu and Lindsay at Vinegar Hill House. You know how in Eyes Wide Shut they built a New York street set in London... and it looks slightly off? That's what Hudson Street in Brooklyn looks like (where Vinegar Hill is). The place is very charming.*

Chicken liver pate, onions, toast.
Octopus
Lamb shoulder with yogurt sauce.
Artichokes
Bay leaf custard with blueberries and black pepper cookies.
