We were scouting locations in Oakland so Patrick and I stopped into Ratto's for lunch. It's an old Italian market. I loved the way they displayed everything, it was simple and old-fashioned. The place is really big and airy and everything was incredibly fresh. Mozzarella, onions, lettuce, tomato, balsamic vinegar on a roll.
